Cary-Grove High School is a public, four-year high school with an enrollment of 1,410 students. Located approximately 45 miles northwest of Chicago, the school serves Cary and Fox River Grove. Cary-Grove offers a comprehensive curriculum and extracurricular activities to help students expand their academic and social skills, learn about themselves, engage in positive experiences, and be involved with community outreach. There are 24 different sports and more than 30 clubs and activities.
Cary-Grove ranked in the top eight percent of high schools nationally by U.S. News & World Report. Cary-Grove has been recognized as a top high school for the last four years by U.S. News & World Report.
In District 155, 82% of teachers hold a master’s degree. The teacher-student ratio is 20:1. The school also employs five counselors, three social workers, and one psychologist on its student services team.
Community High School District 155 includes four comprehensive high schools and one alternative education campus. Each institution has full State of Illinois recognition and accreditation. Enrollment includes 5,370 students from McHenry and Lake counties.
